Knoebel's Part 2
Because we really like it! This time we met up with a high school friend of mine and her twins, Wyatt and Abbey. How cute are these kiddos? and oh....so....sweet! Wyatt and Lucy went on a few rides together. They were so cute.

3 Must See Documentaries
Matt brought home a documentary the other night - I thought I would fall asleep....but he did well. :) It was a great doc. on schools in the U.S. As a former teacher, it really irritated me how our school systems are run - and I can see why parents choose to home school. We had a really good discussion after this one re: our children's education!

Business of Being Born was also really good! I would never, ever consider a homebirth - I am just way too chicken! But it was really great to see how women can take charge of their birthing process. I have a friend who had a home water birth for her 3rd, and she said it was difficult, but felt that it was much better than her previous 2 hospital births and the recovery was way faster. It's sad that midwifery is becoming a lost art.

Amazing! Every parent should see this! Such a great documentary. It follows 4 babies around the world and shows how no matter where they live, they all still reach the same milestones and grow up to be healthy babies. It's interesting to watch a family take home their newborn (and young child) on a motorcycle, in another country a chicken walks across the bed where a baby is sleeping, and yet another that shows a little one just playing in the dirt at his mother's feet. I loved this documentary. Shows a lot of unnecessary things we parents do in the U.S. also!

25 wks. and Counting!!
So far this pregnancy has been pretty amazing! The only issues I've had have been 3 infections were I've had to go on antibiotics - not fun....but trusting my doctors (and of course, my intelligent husband!). Annabelle is a very active little one - but I have to say that there are many days that Matthew will come home and ask how Annie is doing today and I have to think....hmmmm???...I'm sure she's great! But Miss Lucy keeps me so busy - there are days I forget I'm pregnant.
As with Lucy - there hasn't been any nausea or anything crazy to keep me down. This has been a huge blessing!! As I've said, Lucy stays pretty active, so I'm not sure I'd be able to keep up with her if I were sick. God is pretty amazing!! The belly bump is there - but not immense! I'm loving wearing a lot of sun dresses and summer clothes - and so far the very hot days we've had have been bearable.
I've been blessed, also, to have met 2 new mommies @ Lucy's ballet class. They have been so encouraging! How many times as a new mom or now as a soon-to-be mother of two, have I heard "Oh she has NO idea how crazy 2 will be." Or some other random comment. But these ladies have been so encouraging. Letting me know that I've been through it, and it'll make me super confident. That I WILL be able to do it and I WILL be good at it. Lucy will still get fed (as well as baby), we'll make it to preschool (maybe not always ON time, but we'll make it there), and that these 2 girls will be the biggest blessings of our lives. Lucy is such a good girl - and just adores and loves her little sister already. She is going to be my big helper!
If I think too far ahead - things can get uneasy. So, I'm sticking with what my devotional said today: "Bring Me your mind for rest and renewal. Let Me infuse My Presence into your thoughts. As your mind stops racing, your body relaxes and you regain awareness of Me. This awareness is vital to your spiritual well-being; it is your lifeline, spiritually speaking." (S. Young)

Lucy's First Recital
Lucy had her first ballet recital last night. So cute! The little girls were so adorable and did so well. She smiled so big and danced her little heart out (I was so afraid she would get up there and freeze! But not this social little girl!) These are pics before/after the performance, as I just have video of the recital. Mom has lots of pictures for us to share later!!
